A blugh blugh, their confused faces! Like they’re bewildered by how upset Pike is by the possibility that they could have died! And the thing is, they are bewildered by this. Skot and Krim are both jokers in their own ways, nastier and more cynical than Pike if only because of the grimmer circumstances of their lives and the life of the Go Back tribe, but it’s because of those grimmer circumstances that they don’t often consider other routes or feel fear or sorrow for things that didn’t happen. As far as Skot and Krim are concerned, they didn’t die—and Skot pushed Pike out of the way of danger, so they needn’t fear for him—so there’s no use in worrying about what might have happened. But for Pike, that possibility—that thing that didn’t happen—isn’t something he can so easily ignore. They nearly died! He nearly lost them! And just—BLUH!! I love them so much, all three of them. I love that Krim’s sharp-edged and brutal in her humor and I love that Skot is rough all over and they’ve been together for ages, and I love that they’re both so awfully in love with Pike, who loves the both of them, too, and I love that they treat him (Pike! PIKE, THE SEASONED WARRIOR, THE PRACTICAL JOKER, THE CONNOISSEUR OF FINE DREAMBERRIES) like he’s their delicate angel that they’d die for, and blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghfjgnkhn.
In conclusion, I will never be over SKOT DYING, WTF. H8 everything!!!!!!!
